Kendall-Jackson Wins Top 100 Winery Of The Year Award
My family is thrilled to announce that Wine And Spirits magazine selected Kendall-Jackson as a Top 100 Winery Of The Year.
Earlier in the year, the magazine set out to pick its Top 100. More than 10,000 wineries were in the running for the award. Wine And Spirits rated each entrant based on best overall performance delivered in the magazine’s tastings conducted in the past year.
Last night, the awards were officially announced at the Wine and Spirits Top 100 Tasting, which is regarded as one of the premier wine-tasting events in San Francisco. We’re thrilled to be part of an event that shines light on some of the best wineries from around the world.
Throughout the evening, wine enthusiasts and professionals tasted through the wines. Local chefs prepared dishes to compliment the wines, and the pairings were wonderful. Winemakers and owners were present and everyone feasted on “new and notable” Bay Area restaurants.
For us, like so many things, the quality of our wines can be traced back to the origins of our vines. All of our vineyards are planted on mountains, hillsides, benches and ridges that lead to more complexity of flavor and concentration of the wine. Randy Ullom, our winemaster, uses artisan winemaking techniques to craft wines that pair very nicely with foods.
This is the 10th time Kendall-Jackson has won this award. We’re honored to be included in Wine And Spirits25th Anniversary Hall Of Fame, going back to the first time we were honored in 1988.
For my family and I, the award is an affirmation of the hard work and dedication to quality that is prevalent throughout Kendall-Jackson. We will always stand by our commitment to making the best wines that everyone can appreciate.
The Wine And Spirits Top 100 Wineries Of The Year event also raised awareness about water conservation inSan Francisco. The tasting benefited San Francisco Baykeeper, whose mission is to enhance the quality of water in the San Francisco Bay for the benefit of the ecosystem.
