Our estate vineyards are situated throughout California’s cool-climate, coastal winegrowing regions atop mountains, ridges, hillsides, and benchlands. From these breathtakingly beautiful sites, our winemakers draw a rich palette of aromas and flavors to handcraft wines of exceptional depth and complexity.

It’s not easy to be considered “coastal”. While a majority of vineyards are considered “inland”, only 15% of California’s vineyards are classified as coastal – of which just 5% are found on mountains, ridges, benchlands, and hillsides. While farming these sites is difficult for both the vintner and the vine, the grapes grown in these elevated vineyards produce the richest, most intense character and flavors. And after all, taste is everything.
